XL51822 uses Bluetooth 4.0 NRF51822 of NORDIC company, nRF51822 is an ultra low power wireless applications (ULP wirelesss applications) multi protocol to create single chip solution. It integrates the Nordic class wireless transceiver, a ARM Cortex M0 kernel and 256KB Flash + 16KB RAM. NRF51822 supports Bluetooth4.0 low energy and the dedicated 2.4GHz protocol stack
NRF51822 uses 32 bit ARM Cortex M0 core, on-chip 256kB flash (when developing Bluetooth 4 program, 176kb can be used for application development). Relative to the 8/16 bit platform have better code density and faster execution speed. Programmable peripheral component interconnect (Programmable Peripheral Interconnect, PPI) system provides bus is 16 channels, allowing peripherals can be direct and independent communication in the absence of MCU involved in the case. This will reduce the delay caused by peripheral communication via the CPU, and can keep the CPU in the communication process to reduce the energy consumption of dormancy. The chip has two power supply modes - ON/OFF, and all the modules of the system and peripherals power management independently, is used to control the corresponding module switch in the RUN/IDLE state according to the task requirements
Radio module is the foundation of nRF51822 outstanding performance. This module supports low energy Bluetooth (Bluetooth low energy) and also compatible with Nordic nRF24L series products. Output power range is +4dBm to -20dBm, step 4dB. Ultra high sensitivity receiving range between -96 and -85dBm (depending on the data rate). The sensitivity of Bluetooth low power mode for -92.5dBm

NRF51822 provides and application of embedded protocol stack code isolation clear for developers. This means that compile, link, runtime and debugging not because of interdependence and cause trouble. BLE protocol stack has been pre compiled by Nordic, only the compiled application code can be independent. Stack interface using asynchronous events to eliminate the RTOS driver model dependence.
